“Django Unchained” or “Run, White Bitch, Run!” – my fuckin review

Here is my review for “Django Unchained” I hope enjoy that shit! A blaxploitation, Southern (Not Western), Buddy Cowboy Film about the Big Payback? That I dug and the audience dug also. Okay so Django (Jamie Foxx) is a slave in America in 1858. Yep, that happened in America in case you forgot. I didn’t and black folks didn’t. Anyway a man named Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) comes looking for Django and sort of acquires him for his help. Dr. Schultz is a bounty hunter and needs Django’s help because he knows what the bad guys look like. So they team up to find them. Along the way they become friend, and Schultz trains him to become a bounty hunter. You should also know that Dr. Schultz is German and not American, so he doesn’t have as many honkey hang ups against black Americans as White Americans do. So together they collect all the bounties on all the racist whiteys and also try to find Django’s wife on the journey. Eventually they run into a plantation owner named Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio) and another slave named Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson) who works for Candie,  and there the final showdown pops off! Okay so I really liked this movie, it was long but didn’t feel long. The music in it was amazing. The dialogue was honest and real. Some scenes were tough to watch, but I am an advocate for not sugar-coating the past. You need to show that shit or don’t do it at all. If people were beat and called the “N” word then you need to show it. This movie takes place in time where people were abused and shit on the daily. Don’t sugar coat it and make a Disney-fied version of what slavery was. Yes that shit is horrible and rough to watch. Well it was more horrible and rough for the people who went through it. Fuck you in your comfortable movie theatre seats. It’s 1858 in the film and it’s all about context. That being said, there are a lot of comical moments about slavery that I don’t approve of and could have been handled better, but I think you get the point. I also don’t know if the “N” word needed to be said 170 times, but there it is either way. It does open up a dialogue about slavery in this country that I feel like that people want to sweep under the carpet or pretend didn’t happen. I’m glad people are talking about it. Back to the film itself. The entire cast did a great job and were entertaining and fun to watch. The ending was the shit and you and the audience were clapping. I say go check this shit out ASAP. White people may be offended, cuz they are scared black folks will be mad at them for watching it. Black folks will say “Shit True” while watching it. Also there is blood and violence, and honkeys get what they deserve at the end of this movie. So if you love Tarantino, Southern blaxploitation, cowboys, witty dialogue, Leo, The Big Payback, and Horses then you will love this movie. I loved it and will buy it on Blu Ray. Check it out ASAP.
