Shoshanna like a mother fucker. His ladies get a good bit of revenge, but she burned down a theatre full of fucking Nazis. Plus, her plan was the best. Plus, she’s Jewish, which makes watching her get her revenge that much more satisfying.

For me it’s a tie between Jackie Brown and Shoshanna Drefus. Shoshanna’s plan is very impressive but I liked how Jackie stood up to Ordell and was able to double cross him while still keeping her cool attitude.

I’ve got a secret thing for the girlfriend of the Bruce Willis character in Pulp Fiction my ownself. But Shoshanna is way badass, as is Zoe Bell.

Gogo.
I like the character of “The Bride”. She is a strong woman and she is out for vindication, and by gum, she is GETTING IT (all of that makes for a high score of respect points in my book). That being said, in the fight between her and Gogo, Gogo had the upper hand. In fact, the fight pretty much belonged to her. Allow me to expound on my claim.
Before the fight even BEGINS, Director Quentin Tarantino chooses to do a close-up on her face and gives her character the opportunity to deliver a really good and dramatic line: (as per the English subtitles) “You call that begging? You can beg better than that.”
As it turns out, this is an accurate foreshadowing of the events which will occur in this fight. Gogo takes up her “chain mace” (which is far more dense than it looks) and begins swinging it at the face level of the Bride (dare I say “sadistically”). The camera angle confirms and emphasizes this element. From the facial expression of the Bride, we are encouraged toward the same intimidation that her character is conveyed to be feeling.
The fight begins and the Bride is on the retreat position wise. She is disarmed, hit hard and forced to improvise for defenses. I think Tarantino wanted to show that Gogo was keeping her on her toes the entire time, as well as having a degree of control over the fight through her power alone. I might also add that twice during the battle, the chain mace makes contact with other objects and the force of the collision causes them to explode apart rather than simply “break”. I think that should count for something.
I think the strongest point in my argument comes from the way in which the Bride “won” this battle. Deus ex machina (arguably). If those broken table parts had been even an inch out of reach of her leg and foot, she would be one deceased super-assassin out of vengeance. Gogo had miscalculated on her analysis of her opponents wit, however, she was a force to be reckoned with and that is why I nominate her as my favored Tarantino female character. I respect her skills. Also, I liked heroutfit. If I could wear a school uniform and look as good as she did, I would.

I gotta go with Kiddo for a few reasons.
1) This was the first time I thought “Oh, shit, Uma Thurman IS hot!” Before this I couldn’t figure out what people were talking about.
2) The lady was an unstoppable ass-kicking machine, but she also got the SHIT kicked out of her more than once. She was a fucking sword toting heroine badass bitch, but she wasn’t super-powered.
3) She picked up them fuckin chop sticks with her broken-ass hands.
Runner up: Vernita Green. That fight scene is still one of my favorite scenes ever.

For my own devious reasons and personal taste, I’d go with Abernathy from Death Proof. She’s about my speed and has the least amount of drama/seedy characters attached to her.
Eugene and Portland Oregon has more Shosanas than they know what to do with.
Movie wise I’d lean towards O-Ren Ishii, I get the feeling that’s about how bitchy Lucy Liu is in real life, so it made for good casting.
What about Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling in Grindhouse?
Its always got to be The Bride in Kill Bill, such a focused a detirmined character, a true antihero!
It’s so hard to choose between Alabama and Beatrix. Alabama’s claustrophobic hotel room battle with the gangster is my favourite scene in a film that’s full of great scenes.
Ultimately I’ll go with Beatrix. The first time I saw the House of Blue Leaves sequence, the moment when, sword drawn, she slowly starts walking towards her target as everyone else is screaming past her for the exits: she is so powerful, so focused. I actually nearly started crying I was so moved.
Mallory Knox, even though Quentin disowned the character after Oliver Stone had his way with her.
